  • Description: Technology of the grassland cultivation is shown in the film. Fertility of the natural, bare soil is increased by a purposeful cultivation: shrubs are eradicated, stones are removed, soil is fertilized, mixes of the cultural meadow seeds are sown. Swampy land is drained. The peatbog of the collective farm “Dubingiai” in the basin of Ūla. Reclamation and agricultural machines at work. New varieties of the cultural grassland are grown in the Grass Selection and Seed Production Department of Lithuanian Agricultural Scientific Research Institute.
